The 58th Biennial National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Conference will take place June 30–July 5, 2026, in San Francisco, California. Deaf in Government (DIG) looks forward to gathering with our members at #NAD2026 alongside professionals, advocates, and leaders from across the country.
DIG proudly celebrates its continued partnership with NAD and its participation in this national convening. Together, we support professional growth, accessibility, and leadership development across public service and the broader Deaf community.
As a national professional organization, DIG empowers Deaf and Hard of Hearing government employees to overcome communication barriers, resolve accessibility issues, and promote a fully inclusive work environment through networking and fostering professional growth.
DIG welcomes #NAD2026 workshop and training proposals that:
- Strengthen leadership, advancement, and equity for Deaf employees in government
- Share professional skills, tools, and proven strategies
- Highlight diverse experiences and perspectives across government roles
- Offer innovative approaches in accessibility, career development, and workplace practices
- Support collaboration between Deaf employees, agencies, and service providers
- Help build long‑term momentum for inclusive and effective public service
The NAD is currently accepting workshop proposals across ten tracks. Suggested topics of interest to DIG members include:
- Leadership and Career Advancement
- Accessibility and Employment Best Practices
- Government Systems, Policy, and Compliance
- Technology, Innovation, and Digital Accessibility
- Workplace Culture, Inclusion, and Retention
- Interagency Collaboration and Problem‑Solving
- Employee Well‑Being and Sustainability
- Communication Strategies and Multimodal Access
- Intersectional Experiences in Government
Workshop proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and acceptance notices will be sent as decisions are finalized. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
