Board Vacancies

Hello DIG Community!

Deaf in Government (DIG) is seeking dedicated volunteers to fill two vacancies on the DIG Board. These positions play an important role in supporting our mission, strengthening governance, and advancing Deaf leadership across government agencies.

1) Recording Secretary (Volunteer Board Position)

     – Prepare and maintain accurate meeting minutes for Board meetings and key membership meetings
     – Support record keeping and continuity  – including motions, votes, action items, and official documents
     – Help ensure DIG decisions are documented clearly, accurately, and accessibly

2) Communications Manager (Volunteer Board Position)

     – Manage DIG’s outbound communications, including email updates, announcements, and social media posts
     – Coordinate messaging for events, membership updates, and key initiatives
     – Help maintain a consistent, timely, and accessible communication voice for DIG

These volunteer roles are ideal for individuals who want to contribute to Deaf leadership in government, support DIG’s mission, and help the organization continue to grow and thrive.

If you are interested, please contact Florence Rapozo, Vice President, at vicepresident@deafingov.org, including a brief note about your background and which position you are interested in (or if you would like to be considered for both).

Thank you for your continued support of Deaf in Government.

Sincerely,

Robert McConnell
President, Deaf in Government (DIG)
